Bert Breuvart

Aquatics Coordinator

Bert was posted to the Royal Military College of Canada in 1995 as a Physical Education and Recreation Instructor (PERI) until the trade closed in 1997. He then continued as a member of the CAF as a supply technician until he joined the PE department in 2003. He remains an active member of the CAF family with HMCS Cataraqui Naval Reserve Unit here in Kingston.

He understands the importance of physical fitness training and active lifestyle for himself and for the members of the Forces.

Bert has a health and fitness diploma and is a certified Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology (CSEP) member. He also is a certified swimming instructor as well as an examiner for the Life Saving Society. He holds a NCCP level 2 and is a member of Ontario Sailing (windsurfing instructor) and Ontario Canoeing Association (ORCKA).

His main goal and focus at RMC is to make sure that all Officer Cadets complete their Basic Military Swim Test. Bert instills the positive effects of water by improving your swimming and life saving skills as well as expanding your training repertoire.

As an avid outdoor person, Bert loves to be in or on the water. He is always open to a challenge, whether it is swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, and stand up paddling or canoeing. He is the RMC windsurfing instructor and would be very happy to teach anyone who would like to try.
